A Tulsa homeowner is stepping up security after video from his doorbell caught a teenager kicking in his front door.

It happened over the weekend in the Stonegate Neighborhood near 51st and Lynn Lane.

“You can hear them jump in the car and laughing and yelling as they drove off,” said homeowner Sean Keefe.

Keefe says the door was knocked off its hinges and the door frame was splintered by the impact.

“I feel bad because I slept through it and I’ve got my family in there,” he said, “but you know, everyone slept through it – kids, my wife, and my dogs didn’t even bark – it was a big bang, but that was it.”

His home wasn’t the only place damaged by the criminals.

Moments before they kicked in Keefe’s door, the same person is caught on surveillance video with a few others breaking into the community swimming pool.

“I think they used a little table and jumped our fence,” said Jeff Johnson, the president of the homeowners association.  “They did a little damage around the walkway.”

Johnson says it’s unclear why they did it, but he wants this group and others to think about the consequence of their actions.

“What if one of them would have drowned in our pool?  I think about that.  What if they kicked this guy’s door and would have got shot?  That’s just some things they need to think about,” he said.

“I just want the kids to be held accountable,” said Keefe.  “If they can get away with this, what are they going to graduate to?  What’s the next thing they think they’re going to get away with?”

Keefe says he filed a police report and took his concerns online to Facebook, where someone came forward saying they know who the vandal is, even leading them to his Instagram page.

Keefe is hoping all those pieces put together will lead to an arrest.
