A two-block stretch of Garnett Road is shut down as City of Tulsa workers repair a water main break Tuesday.

Garnett was closed between 34th Street and 36th Street due to the broken 12-inch water line.

Water from the break flooded the street and stranded several cars.

The break left mud, rocks and other debris on the road.

The crew turned the water back on at about 1:30 Tuesday afternoon. It reopened two lanes of Garnett, but it will take a few days to get all the damage repaired.
