A Broken Arrow man received a five-year deferred sentence for leaving the scene of a fatality collision. Montez Davis, 23, pleaded guilty in Samuel Barnes' death.

Court records state Barnes and Davis were in a parking lot on the University of Tulsa campus May 6, 2017. Police say Davis left the scene after running over Barnes, who was his uncle.

Barnes, 38, died later that day.
