A handful of former, current and future members of the Oklahoma State wrestling team are set to compete at this weekend's U.S. Open Wrestling Championships, which begin Friday at the South Point Hotel and Convention Center.
Competing in the UWW Junior Men's Freestyle division will be future Cowboys Daton Fix (55 kg), Kaden Gfeller (63 kg) and Christian Bahl (79 kg). Redshirt freshman Andrew Marsden (84 kg) and freshman Keegan Moore (84 kg) are also set to compete in the junior division.
In the Senior Men's Freestyle division will be junior Gary Wayne Harding (61 kg), along with former Cowboys Josh Kindig (61 kg), Jordan Oliver (65 kg), Alex Dieringer (74 kg), Chris Perry (74 kg), Kyle Crutchmer (86 kg).
The U.S. Open serves as the largest World Team Trials qualifier for the men's freestyle division. Seven qualification spots in each weight class are on the line in men's and junior freestyle.
