Hundreds were without power after a Jeep ran into a power pole in the 700 block of East Pine Street around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, April 16 - snapping that pole and affecting several others.

Police said the driver of a 2005 Jeep Liberty was westbound on East Pine Street, left the roadway and hit the pole. That caused four or five other poles along the same lines to lean and the lines to sag over the roadway.

Pine was closed for four blocks as PSO and City of Tulsa crews worked to fix the problem. Morning Star Baptist had to cancel their Easter morning services.

When police got the scene, the people in the Jeep had taken off. We don't know if anyone was hurt. Police said they are looking at evidence left in the Jeep to find the driver.

Public Service of Oklahoma restored power to the almost 400 customers.
