Tulsa Transit Looking Into Using Electric-Powered Buses

Tulsa Transit officials recently returned from the San Francisco area after looking at electric-powered buses in use there.  

The new technology is being considered for some downtown Tulsa shuttle services.

However, Tulsa Transit assistant director Debbie Ruggles says while they learned a lot about the buses - the technology is moving too fast to invest in right now.  

She says they want to see where the industry goes and will consider electric buses again next year.
