Thunder mainstay Russell Westbrook is now averaging a triple-double and has totaled as many as the entire NBA combined.

With an average of 30.9 points per game, 11.3 assists and 10.3 rebounds through 19 games, Westbrook is averaging a triple-double deeper in the year than any player since Oscar Robertson in the 1963-1964 season.

Robertson is the only player in NBA history to average a triple-double over a full season.

With eight triple-doubles on the season so far, it’s looking like Westbrook will record more this season than many greats have through the entirety of their careers.

But, wait.

It’s only November. That’s eight triple-doubles before December.

Is this the season Westbrook will be tabbed league MVP? I think many would agree, his performance has been nothing less than deserving.
