Man Lying On Tracks Hit By Train, Miami Police Say

A train hit a man who was lying on the tracks, according to Miami Police.

Police said the responded to an accident call at 4:50 p.m. Sunday afternoon near the intersection of 2nd Street and D Street NE.

They said the conductor of the train told them the train had struck a man who was lying on the tracks. Police said the man was dead. 

Police said they're working to notify next of kin and haven't released the man's name. They said he was 51.
