Tulsa Marijuana Grow Found During Assault Investigation, Police Say

Tulsa police say a domestic assault victim tipped them off to a marijuana grow operation.

Investigators say a woman told officers her boyfriend pistol-whipped her, then pointed a gun at her, threatening to kill her and her child.  Then police say she told them there was an indoor marijuana grow in their apartment near 61st and Memorial. 

Police arrested Justin Cleveland. on complaints of domestic assault by strangulation, domestic assault in the presence of a minor, possession of marijuana with intent to district (after a felony conviction), felon in possession of a firearm, pointing a deadly weapon, possession of a stolen weapon and cultivation of marijuana.

Officers say they found more than 400 grams of high-grade marijuana and a stolen gun inside the apartment.

The victim was taken to a hospital.
