Broken Bow Woman Killed In Single-Vehicle Wreck

<p>The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a single-vehicle fatality wreck took place around 9:18 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016, on State Highway 3. Two people were injured, one killed.</p>

A deadly crash in McCurtain County is under investigation. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the single-vehicle wreck took place around 9:18 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016, on State Highway 3, six miles west of Broken Bow.

Katreece Cobb was eastbound on the highway when her Chevrolet left the roadway for an unknown reason, hitting a tree, a collision report states. Troopers said one of her passengers, 25-year-old Devin Bunch, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cobb, 25, was taken to a Tulsa hospital where she is said to be stable with arm and internal injuries. Another passenger, 29-year-old Jessica Janes, was also taken to Tulsa. She is said to be stable with head injuries, the report states.

All three women are from Broken Bow, according the collision report.

Troopers said no one in the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt. The condition of the driver at the time of the wreck and the cause of the crash are under investigation by OHP.

Broken Bow firefighters freed all three from the wreckage, the report states.
