Week 3 Preview: Bixby vs. Putnam City

A familiar face will return to Bixby, but he won't be on the home side; he'll be on the visiting side.

That familiar face is Pat McGrew, former Bixby head coach and now associate defensive coordinator at Putnam City, and he brings his Pirates to face the Spartans.

Bixby is 0-2 but the team’s record is a little misleading. They've had a tough schedule. Their first a game against Jenks was a wild one, and then they went on to face one of the best teams in Arkansas and lost.

Now, Tanner Griffin and the offense, which has been humming, will get a chance to put up some more points at Lee Snider Field.

So Friday night, it's Putnam City at Bixby in a 6A-II clash.
