Teen To Be Tried As Adult In Shooting Of UFC Fighter, Son

A 16-year-old accused of shooting a former UFC fighter and his son in a restaurant parking lot learned he'll stand trial as an adult.

Prosecutors charged Harold Thompson with attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

Court records show Thompson admitted to shooting Mikey and Freddie Burnett as they left a gym near 31st and Garnett in March.

Thompson's lawyer will decide next week if he'll appeal Friday's ruling.

Kywaun Washington, 17, pleaded guilty in the case and was sentenced to 10 years as a youthful offender.
