Driver Eludes Officers After Crosstown Tulsa Police Chase

Police search for a driver who led officers on a chase on Interstate-44 in Tulsa early Friday.

Police say an officer tried to stop a car that had been reported stolen near Memorial Drive at around midnight.

They said the driver sped off, getting off the highway in west Tulsa and pulled into an apartment complex in the 6100 block of South Union.

Police said the driver got out and ran away. 

A search of the complex and surrounding neighborhood failed to turn up the driver.
