Construction Impacts Tulsa Traffic On Interstate 244

Road closures starting Monday could have a big impact on Tulsa traffic. The closures on Interstate 244 year the IDL - in both directions - will be here for a while.

The closures are between the northeast corner of the IDL and the Memorial Drive exit. Lanes will close starting at 9:00 this morning and reopen at 3:00 this afternoon.

But expect those closures to continue through the end of the week. Crews say the detours are needed to work on a pavement reconstruction project. An ODOT spokesperson said they are replacing old light poles with new ones.

ODOT says crews will also close the eastbound Utica off-ramp on I-244 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday only.
