OU's Sherri Coale Headlines Women's Basketball Hall Of Fame Class Of 2016

Oklahoma women's basketball head coach Sherri Coale will be inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame Saturday night in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Her accomplishments since taking over in Norman 20 years ago are lengthy, including 16 straight NCAA Tournament appearances, three Final Fours, and 442 wins.

That resume leads you to believe that Coale would know she was a shoo-in, but she was surprised when she got the call.

"I didn't know what to say; I didn't know how to respond,” said Coale. “It just felt so surreal. And when I hung up, I just sat on the couch for probably half an hour. [I] didn't tell a single soul, just kind of thought is this real, did that really happen?"
