A new poll shows most Oklahoma Republicans favor Donald Trump – 34 percent of those surveyed said they'll vote for him Tuesday; 21 percent plan to vote for Marco Rubio and 18 percent for Ted Cruz.
Hillary Clinton still leads among Oklahoma Democrats with 40 percent; but, Bernie Sanders has tripled his support over the past few weeks - 31 percent of those surveyed said they'll vote for him Tuesday.
The numbers raise some deeper questions about the two races, but the poll also provides some answers.

Question one; how is Donald Trump, a reality TV star and a lightning rod for controversy, dominating the polls?
News On 6 pollster, Bill Shapard said, “I think Donald Trump is the one that’s really, kind of, instinctively known what Republicans look for.”
While Rubio leads among voters who say the most important attribute is being able to win in November and Cruz leads among those wanting the most conservative candidate.
The majority of GOP voters say it's more important the candidate is an outsider who can bring change. These people are angry, and Trump is their man.
“And he’s channeled that anger, he’s channeled that dissatisfaction, and he leads among those important attributes among Republicans,” Shapard said.
On the Democrat side, one-in-three voters remain undecided.

“This race is being driven a lot by the undecideds; conservative Democrats who don’t feel like they have any candidate in this race,” Shapard said.
The question that remains is whether those undecided Democrats make up their minds between now and 7 p.m. Tuesday, or they just stay home.
