Crews Battle Grass Fire In West Tulsa County

<p>The Keystone and Sand Springs Fire Departments are working a grass fire that started near Highway 51 and 225th West Avenue. The fire began around 3 p.m. on Sunday.</p>

The Keystone and Sand Springs Fire Departments worked a grass fire that started near Highway 51 and 225th West Avenue.

The fire began around 2 p.m. on Sunday. After battling flareups, they say it is under control.

Another area burned near 265th West Avenue. Initially, some structures were threatened in that area, but firefighters were able to save them and put it out, according to the fire captain.

In all, about 40 acres burned, firefighters say.
