New Joey Makes His Appearance At Tulsa Zoo

The Tulsa Zoo posted a photo of one of their newest additions Wednesday. The new joey or baby kangaroo was actually born in June 2015. Since they stay in their mother's pouch, they aren't visible til about six months.

"He's been peering out for a little while now, but it took time to get a good photo," said community relations manager Sarah Floyd.

The red kangaroo is on exhibit with his mom and dad at the Children's Zoo. He doesn't have a name yet, but the parents are Linden and Maddie.

You can see them in the Children's Exhibit in the mixed species habitat.
