Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers recovered the body of a man who disappeared Sunday morning after his vehicle was swept away by floodwaters.
According to reports, troopers found the body of 36-year-old Darrell Glen Sennett Monday afternoon.
Emergency crews said the 36-year-old man drove into a flooded area on Ragan Road in the Scipio area about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
Authorities said Sennett didn't realize how deep the water was, and had to get out of his truck and hold onto a tree to avoid being swept away. He was on the phone with his roommate, Chris Martin, at the time, who rushed to the scene to try to rescue him.

But by the time Martin arrived and got into the floodwaters himself, Sennett's truck was submerged underwater and he was nowhere to be found, officials said.
Martin called 911 and was rescued by swift water rescue and taken to the hospital.
Troopers searched Monday but had to call it due to an increase in current, a rise in water level, lightning strikes and darkness.
They resumed the search early Monday morning and found Sennett’s body on a creek bank.
The pickup was removed from the water and is being stored at a local wrecker yard.
