Tulsa Firefighters Rescue Fisherman In Rising Arkansas River

Emergency crews had to rescue a man on the Arkansas River on Saturday after firefighters say he got stuck while fishing.

They say the man was standing on a dry patch of land in the river when the water began to rise.

Firefighters say he didn't notice the water rising until it was too late.  

They say the man had a cell phone with him and called 911 for help.

Crew were able to rescue and bring him back to shore.
