Man Missing From Vinita Security Facility Found In OKC

Authorities found a man who walked off from a minimum security correctional facility in Vinita.

According to Department of Corrections representatives, Deontaye L. Frederick was caught in Oklahoma City around 8:00 Wednesday night.

Officials said Saturday, August 29, Frederick was not present for the 2 p.m. head count at the Northeast Oklahoma Correctional Center in Vinita.

Frederick was at the facility at noon, according to Heather Harris with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. The 24-year-old man was convicted of aggravated assault and battery, unauthorized use of a vehicle and several counts of second-degree burglary.
