A man is in jail Monday morning after police said he led them on a chase after kidnapping his ex-girlfriend.  Tulsa police said it started when the driver pointed a shotgun at the woman's face.

Marlon Alberty is in the Tulsa County Jail on 13 complaints  - two of them are warrants - and his bond is well over $100,000. Authorities said his ex-girlfriend had a protective order against Alberty, when he pointed a double-barrel shotgun at her Sunday night, in front of her 2-year-old child, and took her in his car.

Alberty, 24, reportedly kidnapped the woman in the area of Park Forest Oaks near 71st and Lewis.

Police tried to stop him at the Tisdale Expressway and Apache, but he kept going.

TPD says the chase stretched on for 18 minutes, and it ended up about five miles away, near Pine and Harvard. When Alberty did finally pull over, police say they arrested him without a struggle.

Police said the kidnapping victim had some visible injuries and was shaken up but did not require hospitalization. Alberty is a convicted felon, according to the arrest report.

He was arrested for kidnapping, domestic assault and battery, pointing a firearm and possession of a firearm after a felony conviction, violating a protective order and eluding, among other complaints.
