Tulsa Police believe an attempted robbery and armed robbery Friday morning were committed by the same person.

Police said just before 9 Friday morning, a man walked into the Dollar General at 6124 South Garnett Road with a red bandanna covering his face.

The man saw an employee on the phone then turned around and walked out. Police said he was seen running toward the Sugarberry Apartments.

A few minutes later a person matching his description demanded money from the Subway at 12705 East 41 Street.

Police said the man pointed a gun at the employee and demanded the money then left. Officers said the gun was left at the scene and they confirmed it was a black airsoft BB gun.

Witnesses described the man as a black male in his mid-20s, tall with a thin build. Police said he got into a white vehicle, possibly a truck or utility van.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
