Voters picked a new state representative for district 73 today, which covers north Tulsa.
With just over 35 percent of the vote, Regina Goodwin beat out six other democrats. Her two closest competitors were Jonathan Townsend with 27 percent and Joe Williams with 20 percent.
Goodwin takes the seat Kevin Matthews left after being elected to the state senate.
No Republicans ran for the seat, so Goodwin goes straight to the house.
