Cooking Fire Damages Two Tulsa Apartments

The Tulsa Fire Department says fire forced two families out of their apartments overnight.

Firefighters got the call to the Lewiston Apartments at 52nd and Lewis at about 1 a.m.

They said a cooking fire started in a downstairs apartment and moved up a wall into an upstairs apartment.

Firefighters put out the fire quickly, but it still caused extensive damage to both apartments.

They said none of the seven people living in the two apartments was injured.
