Muskogee Police: Customer Shot Trying To Stop Armed Robbery

Police say a man who tried to stop an armed robbery at a convenience store Wednesday night is in the hospital with a gunshot wound.

Police say a man who tried to stop an armed robbery at a convenience store Wednesday night is in the hospital with a gunshot wound.

Muskogee Police got the call to the Stop & Go in the 800 block of North York at about 8:45 p.m. Officers found the victim lying on the floor with a wound to the chest.

Police said the victim, who they believe was a customer, is in good condition at a Muskogee hospital and is expected to be released Thursday. They say no one else in the store was injured.

Officers say the robber was a black teen, 5' 8", holding a rag over his face and wearing dark clothing with a possible Aztec style design. They say he was armed with a silver, semi-automatic handgun.
