Green Country residents should get ready for extreme cold and possible light snow or wintry mix. A blast of Arctic air expected late Saturday night.
Wind chill factors will be in the single digits in many areas Sunday morning, according to News On 6 WARN Team meteorologist Dick Faurot.
Drizzle and fog are in the area for most of Saturday before the cold front blows in.
"As the colder air aloft associated with the main storm center passes overhead, there will be a chance of snow or a wintry mix, primarily for the more northern counties, late Saturday and into the overnight hours," Faurot said.
Not much accumulation is expected.
If you go out into the cold Sunday morning, be sure you are dressed for winter weather and that your car has an emergency kit in case you run into any trouble.
As always, stay weather aware and keep checking back with News On 6 for weather updates.
