Police arrested a man for an outstanding burglary warrant and ended up arresting his female companion as well.
Corporal Leon Calhoun, BAPD, says an officer first saw Joshua Caffey and Jessica Roop sitting in a car outside the Canterbury Inn at Elm and 161st Street Sunday night. Police learned Caffey was wanted for burglary in Rogers County and took him into custody.
Court records show a warrant was issued for Caffey when he failed to show up for drug court in September, 2014.
Jessica Roop was in the car with Caffey and told police she needed to check on her child in a hotel room. Calhoun said the officer asked to go with her, and when they entered the hotel room there were drugs and paraphernalia in the room.
The officer arrested Roop on drug and child endangerment complaints. Caffey was taken to jail on the burglary charges, drug and child endangerment complaints.
