The heat of summer is coming to an end at least for a while across eastern Oklahoma. News On 6’s WARN Team says a cold front is bringing unseasonably cool temperatures and a chance for showers through next week.
High temperatures during late July and early August are normally around 95 degrees with nighttime lows in the 70s. But according to News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone highs will be in the upper 80s through Tuesday then fall to a high in the 70s on Wednesday and Thursday before rising again into the 80s on Friday.
Crone says rain showers are in the forecast Tuesday evening into Thursday morning. He says the rain cooled air could keep some locations in eastern Oklahoma from only reaching into the upper 60s Wednesday.
