Tulsa is the first city in the country to earn the Autism Friendly designation. It's a program to help people be more aware and hopefully respond better to anyone with autism.
They say it starts with stickers and signs that say "I'm A-Ok."
The organizers of the project say people can see a lot of disabilities and will often go out of their way to be helpful, this is a way to let others know a child has autism.
"Knowing that a kid in a grocery store line may not be behaving badly, it may be that he or she has autism and may be stimulated too much beyond their normal environment," said City Councilor Phil Lakin.
