Oklahoma's multi-county grand jury has indicted a Miami police officer on two counts of perjury and one count of engaging in a pattern of criminal offenses.

The indictment was handed down Tuesday against 36-year-old Teresa Lashmet, who is on paid administrative leave from the department. Court records did not indicate whether Lashmet has an attorney and there was no telephone number listed for Lashmet.

The indictment accuses Lashmet of making false statements under oath in a probable cause affidavit and to the grand jury regarding the arrest of a driver in Ottawa County in May 2013.

Grand Jury Indictment

If convicted, Lashmet faces up to five years in prison on each felony perjury charge and up to two years in prison for engaging in a pattern of criminal offenses, also a felony.
