A south Tulsa Walmart store was evacuated early Friday after a bomb threat, according to Tulsa Police.

A south Tulsa Walmart store was evacuated early Friday after a bomb threat, according to Tulsa Police.

Officers said there were 20 people including employees in the store located at 81st and South Lewis at the time.

Store employees told police a man called the store's service desk at about 2:30 a.m. telling them there was a bomb in the store.

Police officers arrived, evacuated the building then searched the store. They said no bomb was found and the store was reopened.

Tulsa Police said the department's special operations team or bomb squad was not called out.
