The man whose body was recovered from an Arkansas River sandbar Sunday morning has been identified as Jonathan M. Tilley of Tulsa.

Tilley, 24, was the subject of a manhunt Saturday night on the west side of the river after Tulsa County Sheriff's Office deputies tried to stop him for not having working taillights. After a short pursuit, authorities say Tilley wrecked his car into a gate at the Westport Apartment complex then ran, leaving two women and a child behind in the vehicle.

A man having breakfast the next morning at Blue Rose Cafe saw Tilley's body in the river. Police say there was no sign on trauma to his body, and they do not suspect foul play.

A search of Department of Corrections records show that Tilley received a deferred sentence in 2013 for unauthorized use of a vehicle and pointing a firearm.
