The City of Tulsa offers amnesty to drivers with unpaid parking tickets to pay without late fees or court costs, starting January 17 and ending February 7, 2014.

According to a press release from the City, there are nearly 19,000 unpaid parking tickets on file.

Drivers with unpaid tickets can pay with cash or credit cards at the cashier's windows at City Hall, 175 East Second Street or the Tulsa Municipal Courts, 600 Civic Center, on the second floor.

Any driver who lost the actual ticket or is unsure of the ticket number can call 918-596-7761 for information.

The vehicle's license number must be provided for verification.

The amnesty period is only for parking tickets and according to the City, stepped-up collection efforts begin after for drivers who did not pay their tickets.

Vehicles listed as public nuisance, two or more outstanding tickets, are eligible for amnesty as well.
