Police arrested a teenager for robbing a Walmart Neighborhood Market cashier early Wednesday.
Police said they were called to the store at 44th and Peoria at 1:57 a.m.
Tulsa Police say 17-year-old Isaac Puerta had been in the store two times before he pulled an eight-inch knife on a cashier on his third visit and demanded cash.
After getting the money Puerta ran out of the store.
Police began a search and located Puerta a block away at 43rd and Owasso. Police said he had changed his jeans and coat, but they say he was carrying the clothes he'd worn during the robbery.
"Those items were found in his backpack that he still had on at the time, along with cash from the store consistent with the amount that was taken out of the cash register," said TPD Sgt. Gary Otterstrom.
Police said the cashier was shaken up but not injured.
Police booked Isaac Puerta into the Tulsa County Jail on a complaint of robbery with a dangerous weapon.
