The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) who killed Michael Gabriel in his Bristow home nearly 23 years ago.

The OSBI says Gabriel, 24, was found dead inside his home at 207 East Washington on January 27, 1991.

The Bristow Police Department said he had been shot in the chest. The department requested OSBI assistance in the case.

The OSBI says it interviewed numerous people and collected evidence at the scene; however, the case has never been solved.

"We hope offering a sizeable reward will encourage someone with information to come forward. Time could also be a positive factor in this situation. In other cases where a crime has gone unsolved for decades, we have seen relationships change empowering a witness to come forward," said Jessica Brown, OSBI.

If you have information about the case you call the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
