A 10-month street widening project is causing Tulsa Public Schools administrations to re-route traffic around McClure Elementary School. They've even laid down new asphalt for new entrances to the building.
The school is located on the south side of 61st Street, between Yorktown and Utica. Because a section of 61st Street will be closed for almost a year, traffic is being re-routed onto Yorktown.
Construction begins next Tuesday, but the school started the re-routing process Monday as a dry run for students and parents.
