Green Country is honoring veterans on the homefront.

On Saturday, Owasso kicked off the holiday weekend to honor service men and women.

Parade floats of all shapes and sizes carried Green County's bravest through the streets.

And these events aren't just about civilians showing their support for veterans.

"Well I'm a veteran," Bert Abla said. "I served in the U.S. Air Force back in the ‘80s and I think our veterans need to know we're here to support them all the time."

Tulsa will have a parade through downtown on Monday, which is Veterans Day.

It' will start at 11 a.m. at Third and Boston.
