Troopers say an Owasso man was seriously injured after a deer jumped in front of two motorcyclists driving in Collinsville.

It happened Friday night just after 8 p.m. on Garnett Road near 126th Street North.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say a man and woman were riding down the road, with the female trailing behind the man. When the deer jumped in front of the lead motorcycle, driver Mark Robinson crashed and was thrown from the bike.

The woman then crashed into the other motorcycle.

Robinson, 49, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition with head injuries, troopers say. The woman, 48-year-old Charlotte Crawford of Owasso, suffered some road rash, but troopers say she will be okay.

Neither of the motorcyclists were wearing helmets, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Both were in apparently normal condition at the time of the crash.
