One of the men charged with killing an ORU student and her boyfriend in 2011 pleaded guilty to the crime Tuesday.

Jerard Davis and another man were charged with two counts of felony murder and two counts of robbery in the deaths of Carissa Horton, 18, and Ethan Nichols, 21, in Hicks Park on September 19, 2011.

Davis was sentenced to life without parole for the murders. The robbery counts were dismissed.

The other suspect, Darren Price, will go to trial in January 2014. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
