Cherokee County Sheriff's Office has canceled an alert for a woman who had been missing from her Park Hill-area home since Monday morning, September 2.

Opal Geraldine Murphy has been located, according to Undersheriff Jason Chennault.

The missing persons bulletin was issued because Murphy, 70, has dementia and was without her prescription medication, according to Undersheriff Jason Chennault.

Authorities did not suspect foul play but say Murphy left her home voluntarily because of a family conflict.

She was thought to be in the company of a man named Charles Collier. Collier drives a brown 1980s Dodge pickup with a camper shell. The truck also has paintings and stickers of the Confederate flag, Chennault says in the release.
