Tulsa Police arrested a man accused of stealing prescription pills from a Tulsa pharmacy late Monday.

Police were called to the CVS pharmacy at 71st and Yale at 9:50 p.m. after a man gave the pharmacist a note demanding drugs. The pharmacist said the man promised no one would get hurt if he got the medication.

After getting the pills, the man ran out of the store.

Just after midnight, a police officer spotted the suspect inside a QuikTrip in the 5000 block of East 71st Street and arrested him.

Police identified him as Andrew Cockrell, 20.

He was booked into the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of robbery by force and fear. Jail records show Cockrell's bond is $50,000 with a court appearance set for September 4.
