Hit-And-Run Driver Leaves Tulsa Pedestrian With Life-Threatening Injuries

A hit-and-run driver left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries late Friday, Tulsa police said.

The collision near 61st Street and Peoria Avenue happened about 10:45 p.m.

The victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital.

Several witnesses provided statements to police. There were no visible skid marks from an attempt to stop.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-blue or dark-green "boxy Jeep-type vehicle" that left the scene headed westbound.

"It just appears that the guy was crossing the street and got hit by a car," Cpl. Ross Williams said.
