The U.S. Marshals finished a three-year sex offender roundup Tuesday.
They called it "Operation Guardian." Marshals set their sights on 444 of the most dangerous sex offenders, and found 427 of them.
Of those, 345 were arrested.
Five men were singled out in the operation as northern Oklahoma's top offenders. They are Jon Wayne Johnson, wanted in Tulsa and Wagoner Counties; Travis Ray Parsons, convicted of raping a 14-year-old girl in Sand Springs; Pierce Wiley Viehe, wanted in several states, including Oklahoma; Joseph D. Maltby, who failed to register as a sex offender after a rape conviction out of Miami, Oklahoma; and Dorian Morino Brown, who was convicted in Tulsa and was located in Tacoma, Washington, where he was arrested for failure to register as a sex offender.
