Tulsa Man Survives Brush With Freight Train

A 36-year-old man has survived a brush with a freight train, according to police.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe reported one of its trains hit someone on the tracks near the 1900 block of East Pine Street in Tulsa about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

When police arrived, they realized that instead of hitting him, 25 train cars passed over the man, who was between the rails.

He was trapped under one of the cars until he could be freed.

The man was transported by EMSA to a local hospital and is in fair condition, police said.

His identity has not been released.
