Bartlesville Radio Personality Dies

A NewsOn6.com contributor and assistant news director at Bartlesville Radio died late Tuesday at his home in Bartlesville.

Mike Sauter, who also owned Sauter Environmental, filled a number of positions from covering news to on-air events for the radio station over the past 15 years.

Sauter had a degree in Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati and spent 15 years working for Phillips Petroleum Company before moving to radio in 1996.

Along with his duties at Bartlesville Radio, Sauter was the PA announcer at Doenges Memorial Stadium and at Bartlesville High School football games. Sauter was a member of Good Shepherd Church in Bartlesville and a member of the Kiwanis.

He leaves behind a wife and a son.

Bartlesville Radio is an affiliate of the Radio Oklahoma Network, a Griffin Communications company.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
