A Tulsa group is on a mission to help the homeless.

On Sunday it gathered with a group of volunteers at the old Safeway grocery store near 11th Street and Denver Avenue.

They handed out everything from clothes and food to toothpaste and deodorant.

Organizers say it's not hard to help, but it's hard not to.

"When we go back to our homes, we feel that we are very blessed to have heat, we are very blessed to have a bed, we are very blessed to have groceries in our pantry and our refrigerator, and that there's always something more we could do," Brandy McCombs with Tulsa Homeless Outreach said.

The outreach started with just two families in 2009 helping during the holidays.

Since then, it's grown to dozens of volunteers organizing monthly donations.
