The rise in the number of influenza cases in eastern Oklahoma prompted one school district to close on Friday.

Kiefer Public Schools in Creek County will be closed because of the number of cases in the school district.

District superintendent Mary Murrell tells News On 6, 25 percent of Keifer students are out of school because of influenza.
