Testimony continues in the trial of a 62-year-old LeFlore County man charged with child neglect and sexual abuse after authorities found his nine children living in squalid conditions.

A jury of five women and seven men was seated on Wednesday in the case at the Leflore County courthouse in Poteau.

In October 2012, a Leflore County judge declared a mistrial for James Haskins, citing too many potential jurors had formed opinions on the case.

Haskins is charged with nine counts of child neglect and three counts of sexual abuse. His wife, Lucinda Haskins, 41, pleaded no contest to similar charges last week. She is scheduled to be sentenced February 22nd.

All nine children are now in the state's custody.
