A new tradition was born in downtown Tulsa Thursday night.

The first Jazz to the World concert was held at First Christian Church.

Organizers said they wanted to give the community a different kind of Christmas experience, through music. Local jazz musicians, including Stephen Goforth, Amy Cottingham and Steven Schrag volunteered to share their time and talents.

News On 6 Anchor Terry Hood had the honor of serving as emcee for the event.

And to make the concert even sweeter, all the money raised Thursday night went to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
